I have been thinking about the weight from attachments to jobs, family obligations, material objects, and lifestyles that we carry around every day. This sculpture has a weight that anchors it to the floor with wires that sprout through the top and connects through a drain attached to the wall. This is an immoveable weight which can be unattached by disconnecting attachments.

Barbara designed, created, and built spider web sculptures and a 15 x 30' web installation, and wrote lesson plans for teachers and students in connection with The Amazing Spider-Man 2  movie.
